The Story Behind Street Zaika
Where flavors speak louder than words.

Welcome to Street Zaika – Where Every Bite Tells a Story!
I’m Sachin Sharma, a passionate food enthusiast hailing from a humble middle-class family in Delhi. For me, food has always been more than sustenance—it’s a celebration of culture, connection, and community. Growing up amidst the bustling bylanes and food stalls of Delhi, I was drawn to the tantalizing aromas wafting from sizzling tawas, the chatter of customers, and the joy that a simple plate of chaat could bring to someone's day.
Street Zaika was born out of this deep-rooted passion—not just to share reviews or recipes, but to tell the heartfelt stories behind every snack, vendor, and flavor. It is my personal tribute to the vibrant and diverse street food culture of India.
Through Street Zaika, I aim to explore hidden gems, timeless flavors, and the real voices behind India’s streets. At Street Zaika, our mission is simple yet powerful:
To spotlight the soulful, authentic, and diverse flavors of India's streets, and to honor the unsung heroes behind every food cart and corner shop.
We strive to create a platform that doesn’t just rate food—but celebrates its origins, the hands that cook it, and the stories it carries.
We believe every street food dish holds history, heritage, and a slice of someone’s heart. Our mission extends beyond taste—it's about storytelling, empowerment, and the preservation of culinary traditions.
Whether it's a fourth-generation chaat vendor in Old Delhi or a young entrepreneur launching a tandoori sandwich cart, we aim to bring their stories to light.
By sharing their journeys, we hope to inspire pride in local cuisine and encourage the next generation of food lovers to support and respect their local food heroes.

Behind the Name
What’s in a name? Everything.
“Zaika”means taste in Urdu and Hindi. And when we say Street Zaika, we’re talking about more than just food—we’re capturing the essence of India’s bustling, flavorful street culture.
Every plate served from a roadside stall carries more than spice. It carries history, tradition, and identity. These dishes aren’t found in fancy restaurants, but in the heart of every city, town, and village—served with warmth, made from recipes passed down generations, and seasoned with love.
The name Street Zaika is our tribute to that taste. That story. That soul.
Meet the Founder: Sachin Sharma
A dreamer, storyteller, and die-hard golgappa lover — I explore India’s streets with a camera in one hand and a notebook in the other. My journey is all about uncovering the best local eats and the untold stories behind them.
For me, food isn't just about taste — it’s about emotion. It's about how a single plate of spicy pav bhaji can spark conversation, create memories, and build community. That’s what inspired me to start Street Zaika — to not just fill plates, but touch hearts and uplift the voices behind every stall.
I’ve walked the lanes of Delhi’s chaat bazaars to Mumbai’s bhel puri stalls, tasting dishes and talking to vendors who carry legacy, pride, and hustle in every serving.
When I’m not documenting stories, I’m:
Cooking fusion recipes in my home kitchen
Hosting street food pop-ups with local vendors
Helping small food businesses go digital
Mentoring young food storytellers
